Positive Thought for the Day

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

-Unknown

Imagine how different our world would be if each of us chose to live our lives as if everything is a miracle. The people, the circumstances, the surroundings...Everything. Just imagine how difficult unhappiness for any of us would be if we were constantly aware of being swaddled in miracles.

May you always be aware of the miracles around you.

And may you always be aware that you are loved beyond measure and a cherished blessing to me.

May your day be filled with all things good,

~ Kate Nowak

This is a quote from the book "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior"

"In my life I have learned that at precisely those times when life seems to get worse that you may actually be getting ready to make a leap. When you feel like you're going nowhere-stagnating, even slipping backward, what you are actually doing is backing up to get a running start."

Positivity
I am doing my best as I am focused on success.

What today will be like is up to me. I get to choose what kind of day I will have!

From The Daily Motivator

Give a little kindness
A negative attitude can be contagious. Fortunately, so can a positive attitude. One of the biggest challenges of staying positively focused can come from the negative people who cross your path. Yet instead of letting them get you down, you can choose to lift them up.

When someone is rude to you, the most powerful response is not to reply with your own rudeness. After all, what would that accomplish?

Your best choice in such a situation is to respond with courtesy, kindness, consideration and understanding. Though it may seem strange and unnatural at first, it can have a profoundly positive impact on the situation.

Most people, when given the chance, will be glad for you to rescue them from their own negative momentum. When you come across someone who is clearly in a bad mood, you have the opportunity to be the best part of that person's day.

Seize that opportunity and make the most of it. When you give a little kindness, it can make a big, big difference.

One Year From Now

Each one of us has the ability and right to live the life we truly desire. You, are no exception. Let me ask you something. Do you have a highly compelling vision of your "one year from now?"

No?

Then why not create one today? Take the time to think about where you want to be, one year from "now." Find a quiet place and write down your vision. Don't limit yourself and squash anything that tries to attack your dream.

The quickest route from conception to manifestation of your "one year from now," is the route where you take the time to make crystal-clear, detailed, and exciting plans.

This, is how you do that. Write down a clear, vivid description of exactly how your life looks like this time next year. Include the names of the people, financial institutions, health clubs, the major milestones and the specific actions that you will take to reach your goals. When you do, you'll not only give your life new meaning, you'll be spurred forward by the rewards.

To your success!

Let It Be You - Jim Rohn

Each and every day, there are people all around the country and world who are living their dreams. Millionaires are made every day. Families are experiencing tremendous relationships. People are becoming more and more healthy. Life-long learners are growing intellectually and improving their chances for success.

The fact is that living the life of your dreams is possible. People prove that every day. Someone somewhere is going to get rich, get healthy and improve their life. My recommendation is this: Let it be you!

Have you ever wanted to make more money? Have you ever looked at someone who has money and wished that it could be you? People think about getting wealthy all of the time, when only a small percentage actually does. But any of the masses could. Someone is going to start a business. Someone is going to make a great investment. Someone is going to begin the journey to great wealth. So why not let it be you?

Someone is going to decide to improve their relationships. Someone is going to enjoy love with their family. Someone is going to schedule some meaningful time with their friends. So why not let it be you?

Someone is going to go back to school to improve their life. Someone is going to become a life-long learner. Someone is going to set a goal to read a book or listen to a CD each week for the next year. So why not let it be you?

Someone is going to look in the mirror and see that they need to lose a little weight and they will make the decision to become healthy. Someone will run their first marathon. Someone will join an aerobics class and improve their health. Why not let it be you?

I think that by now you get the point: Everyday people are improving their lives. Whether you do or not doesn't matter to those who do. They are going to do it, regardless. It is simply a matter of a decision being made. Let that person be you!

You may be asking, "Okay Jim, but how?" Well, let's cover the very simple actions.

The first and most important is to make a commitment to work on yourself. Are you going to improve or stay the same? No matter what you have achieved, you are at a certain point right now. What you have achieved in the past is fine, but it doesn't make a difference for the future. The decision about what you will become is made each day and every day. Each day someone is making the decision to better him or herself. Let that person be you!

The second is to make a plan. Once you have decided to become better you will have to have a plan. It doesn't have to be a long, intricate plan. It can be simple. Save a dollar a day. Walk a mile a day. Read an article a day. That is a simple plan with achievable goals. Someone is going to develop a plan that will take them into the future of their dreams. Let it be you!

The third is to begin to act. All of the great ideas, without action, become stale and useless. The key to turning dreams into reality is action. People who have great ideas are a dime a dozen. People who act on their dreams and ideas are the select few, but they are the ones who gain the wealth, wealth and wisdom that is available. Someone will act today. Let it be you.

My encouragement to you is to stop looking at others who live the good life, wishing that you were as well, and instead begin to commit to your improvement, develop a plan and act on it. Someone is going to. Let it be you!

To Your Success,
Jim Rohn

4 Steps

I found 4 steps that I trully believe and I am following these steps everyday in my own pursuit of happiness.

They are:
1. FORGIVE
2. BELIEVE
3. DO
4. BE

1. FORGIVE
I truly believe that people won't achieve wealth, inspiration, success and happiness if they don't see themselves worthy of those things. Many people don't see that the problems in their life for not achieving what they want is not on other people's hand but it is on their hands. They don't realise that they have a problem with themselves.

Many people haven't forgiven themselves and accepted themselves as they are. How many times we judge ourselves when things go wrong? How many times we punish ourselves when things don't happen the way we want them to? There is an old saying, "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." We have to understand that we have to first truly love ourselves first by accepting ourselves as we are before we can truly love others. It doesn't mean that we accept our weaknesses but have the passion in our lives that we will strive to give the best of our lives. Anyway we live only once, why don't we give it the best shot that we got?

2. BELIEVE
After forgiving ourselves, then we need to start believing. Believe that God wants us to live an abundance life.

We have to know, whether we believe it or not, that whatever we passionately think about or focus on all the time, it is not necessarily positive things, will be attracted in our lives. And this is where the problem lies, most of the times we focus on the things that we don't want to have or do and therefore instead of getting what we want to have or do, we get what we don't want. There is an old saying, "I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do."

The good news is that we can change our focus by just merely shifting our thoughts. It does not mean that we have to control our minds. Wow, that would be an impossible things to do but to just merely change our thoughts when we realise that we are focusing on what we don't want instead of what we want. One of the best ways to do it, is by having a vision board or dream board. This is where we keep reminding ourselves to focus on things that we want to have or do. By doing this exercise, you will find yourselves focusing on the things that you want to have or do. I trully believes in the natural law of living, which is the golden rule of all, "What a man thinks about himself, so is he." All this is saying to us that our thoughts are very powerful, more than just a thought.

I can't stress enough about this, if you can get through whatever your beliefs are right now to see or at least accept that your lives have been affected by this law whether you realise it or not, whether you believe it or not.

Final note about BELIEVE, while we are living in this world, why don't we trully believe all the good things that we want to have or do can be ours.

3. DO
After believing, we need to act by doing everything towards your beliefs. Do something about it and start seeing changes happening in your life. I believe that faith without action is nothing. So, we need to act in faith. Take that leap of faith and start walking towards your dreams.

So many people only dream about things they want but never find ways on how to achieve it and make a plan and do the plan. As it is so true that if you fail to plan then you plan to fail. You are guaranteed that you will never achieve your dreams if you never plan your way to your dreams. One more important ingredient in DO is persistence.

If you plan once and the plan fails and then you stop because of it, then you are once again planing to fail. Doing what you believe means keep on doing what you believe. It means never to stop doing it. That's it. If you fall, get up, do it again, fall, get up, do it again, until you succeed.

Life is never easy but life is never hard on us. It will never be more than what we can bear. It is a promise you can keep as long as you don't quit. So, keep Doing what you believe.

4. BE
This is the final step. There will be one point in your life where suddenly life just opens up for you and everything falls into its' places where it belong and life starts to manifest all of the things you have dreamed about. At this stage, this is the harvesting time.

One note to remind you of when you achieve this step, do not stop here. Go back to step one and expand your life more and more. That is what I truly believe in my life.

Many stories I heard, either from a friend of mine or from a book that I read or even from my own experiences, follows these 4 steps. Our lives are in stages and every stage of our lives comprises of these 4 steps whether we believe it or not.

-Unknown

Something else should also be added to the steps above to get what you want in life practice an attitude of gratitude. Be grateful for everything you recieve big or small. Give thanks for everything you recieve. Give thanks for getting up in the morning, for being able to afford food. Give thanks for the air you can breathe. In other words be thankful or grateful for everything big or small. If you practice an attitude of gratitude for everything you will recieve the things you are wanting to have. Practice gratitude for the things you are working toward, the things that are on the way for you, as if they are already yours now.

I hope everyone has a happy, healthy, prosperous 2008. To your success!

Positive Thought for the Day

I will be trying to put Postivities on daily. A lot of self help authors say to repeat Postivities daily and put them in the present as if it is already a reality not in the future because the subconsious mind will keep what your working toward in the future. So I will be posting Postivities that you can repeat daily

Positivity
I know and accept the universal law that sharing my abundance draws more abundance to me.

Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.

-Robert Louis Stevenson

From The Daily Motivator

Make meaning
You have the opportunity, right now, to make today mean something. Instead of just getting through this day, you can live it in such a way that it positively transforms your life and your world. There is an essential part of you that longs to make a difference. Underneath all the superficial comings and goings of daily life, there is a driving purpose that is your life.

Whatever you may be doing on the outside, there is a way to express the purpose that lives on the inside. The more you discover, explore and stay connected to that purpose, the more rich and fulfilling your life will be.

You can make real and lasting meaning out of the smallest, most seemingly insignificant moment. In this day there are countless chances to do so.

Remember often the wondrous miracle that is your life. Let your thoughts, words and actions flow freely from the valuable, authentic person you are, and great things will surely happen.

This is a day to be filled with meaning and positive purpose. Now is your chance to make it a true treasure.

I am a miracle and have the power and strength to make my dreams come true

If you are doing your best, you will not have time to worry about failure.

-Robert Hillyer

From the daily motivator

Beyond yourself
How far beyond yourself are you willing to think and act? Have you ever done anything that will benefit the world not today, not next year, but a thousand years from now? If you limit your awareness to only your own concerns, you will continually be frustrated and disappointed. That is because your true nature exists far beyond the superficial, petty concerns of your shallow and fragile ego.

Imagine being able to live without fear, in a constant state of pure peacefulness and effortless fulfillment. That is the terrain you can inhabit when you let go of the concerns of self.

When you erect impenetrable borders between you and everything else, you push life's immense abundance away from your experience. The walls of exclusion and judgment that you create do quickly become your prison.

Your awareness does not have to be limited by your perceptions. Beyond the confines of time and distance there is no end to the fulfillment that can be known.

What you can achieve alone is quite impressive. Yet what you create by going beyond yourself can indeed fulfill every dream.

-- Ralph Marston

Many years before he was a huge movie star, actor Jim Carrey wrote a $10 million check for himself. The purpose of this gesture was to motivate himself towards his goals. In one interview, he talks about his habit of seeing his success before he was a success.

"I believe in that sort of thing," he says. "I'm not some sort of infomercial guy, but I do believe in visualizing what you want in life.”

The Third Biggest Lie
Ann Landers challenged her readers to come up with the world's third-biggest lie -- right after "The check is in the mail" and "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you." Here is a sampling from the thousands she received:
- "It's a good thing you came in today. We only have two more in stock."

- "Five pounds is nothing on a person of your height."- "You made it yourself? I never would have guessed."

- "Of course I'll respect you in the morning."

- "You don't look a day over 40."

- "Dad, I need to move out of the dorm into an apartment of my own so I can have some peace and quiet when I study."

- "It's delicious, but I can't eat another bite."

-"The new ownership won't affect you. The company will remain the same."

- "The puppy won't be any trouble, Mom. I promise I'll take care of it myself."

- "Your hair looks just fine."

- "Put away the map. I know exactly how to get there."

- "You don't need it in writing. You have my personal guarantee."

Misstep
I recall a time when my son was about 18 months old...I had him strapped in a backpack and was rushing to catch the bus. Apparently I misstepped and fell down an entire flight of stairs, (13 to be exact). I was bruised, bleeding and I had torn my jeans... but my main concern was, naturally for my child.

My fears were alleviated though when from behind me I heard a gleeful giggle followed by, "Again!"
